Beaujolais Producers | Beaujolais Nouveau Reviews | Beaujolais Facts

Beaujolais:
They are wines for drinking all year round. Their deliciously intense aromas
& fruity floral bouquets are at their peak when the wine is still young.

Beaujolais Nouveau:
Released on the third Thursday in November.
Two thirds of Nouveau come from the Beaujolais appellation,
the rest from Beaujolais Villages.
Bright cherry red in color with a characteristic floral bouquet & fruity flavors.

Brouilly:
Deep ruby in color & the bouquet reveals soft fruits, plum & peach.

Chnas:
Rarest of the Beaujolais Crus
Ruby colored with hints of garnet, well structured with a floral, woody bouquet.

Chiroubles:
Highest in altitude of the Beaujolais Crus.
Striking red color, delicious, supple & elegant. Scents of peonies, lily of the valley and violets. It is one of the most individual wines of Beaujolais.

Cote-de-Brouilly:
Violet in color with a bouquet of irises & fresh grapes.
Cte de Brouilly needs some time to develop its distinctive style.

Fleurie:
Velvety & elegant with aromas of  iris, violet, rose petal, peach, blackcurrant & red berry.
Said to be the most feminine of the Beaujolais Crus.

Julinas:
May be enjoyed young  after a few years in the bottle, it has a consistent ruby color
with a bouquet of peach, cherry & strawberry.

Morgon:
Fleshy &  appealing with fullness. Deep garnet & a bouquet of ripe cherry,
peach, apricot & plum. Should be aged for a few years to reach its maturity.

Moulin Vent:

Deep ruby color with a bouquet of iris, rose petal, spice & ripe fruit, excellent aging potential has give it a reputation as one of the best red wines of France.

Rgni:
Rgni, the most recent of the Beaujolais wines to be assigned cru status in 1988.
This village makes a supple well-constructed wine, cherry-colored with aromas
suggesting red currants, blackberries & raspberries.
Saint Amour:
Northernmost area of Beaujolais.
Lively, refined & well-balanced, a ruby color with a bouquet of cherry & spice.
