2001 THORNBURY Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough Layers of flavors are offered up in this superb Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc. And the aromatics are so assertive, you can smell the wine simply by pulling the cork. It is inconceivable that one can encounter a better rendition of this varietal. It has it all, showing stone fruit notes of peaches and nectarines joined by passion fruit and lime, with herbal, grassy elements serving as a backdrop.
