HOGUE 1999 Chardonnay, Columbia Valley, Genesis
Nutty, toasty aromas dominate the nose, leaving little room for fruit. It
shows lots of butterscotch and oak on the palate, with suggestions of tropical
fruit and light pineapple. Its medium bodied, with moderate richness, but
lacks the acidity needed to make this a really strong offering.
