Chateau St. Michelle
|
1999 CHATEAU ST.
MICHELLE
Cabernet Sauvignon,
Columbia Valley

This
is an interesting young Cabernet. The first aroma that one
perceives upon
opening the bottle is the vinous smell which is typical
f the first stage
of the fermentation. As the wine opens up one can feel
the red cherry
and the flowery notes that are typical of this wine. In the
mouth
the wine is quite fresh and not very tannic. It is not well balanced
yet,
since the acidity is predominant upon the other components, but
may become
better in two or three years. The finish is not very
complex but it is pleasant
and lasting.
About $14. 11/13/01
