The
bouquet is attractive for its aromas of sweet ripe dark plums, accompanied
by smoky oak and vanilla, with a nuance of suede. Things echo nicely on
the palate where the fruit turns slightly tart on the finish, but gets
rescued by nice flavors of vanilla bean which rolls onto a pleasant
lengthy finish. As the wine breathes and opens up, it softens further and
offers up coffee and mocha notes. All is carried in a medium body with
moderate tannins.
