1997 LONGRIDGE
BAY VIEW Cabernet Sauvignon
South
African red greets you with candied black cherry aromas in a pronounced
nose, with strong suggestions of chocolate following right behind. A
certain floral earthiness also comes along for the ride. Soft enough
tannins carry the bouquet to the flavors, with a particular semisweet
chocolate note hanging on to the last. Not sophisticated, but lots of
action for the rice.
