1997 WHITE OAK
Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley
Pronounced
nose of gooseberry and herbal grassiness. Classic Sauvignon Blanc,
but a floral, buttery note suddenly appears. Ripe pear and
melon flavors are next, accompanied by some nice crisp citrus
acidity. But, there is a definite buttery element in the finish,
softening everything slightly. Not a classic Sauvignon Blanc, but
very enjoyable.
