Valley of the Moon Winery
VALLEY OF THE MOON 2000 Chardonnay,
Sonoma County
Spicy vanilla and ripe pineapple form the modest bouquet while ripe pear and apple shape the palate, accompanied by some citrus notes. Touches of vanilla and a suggestion of minerals emerge on an unusual finish, offering up some extra interest. The mineral thing causes this to be a slightly different take on the Chard genre.
