1998 VALLEY OF THE MOON Sangiovese, Sonoma County
Faint
smoky, candied fruit aromas are followed by moderate cherry and plum fruit
flavors. The fruit shows moderate ripeness and the tannins are a bit
chewy, which make up most of the finish. Comes off a bit uninspired
granted that the varietal is a tough one when its California grown.
