1998 OLIVET LANE ESTATE
Chardonnay, Russian River Valley
Modest
bouquet of ripe apple and melon are joined by spicy, oaky vanilla on the
palate. The fruit is prominent at mid palate but the long, long finish
is captured by creamy vanilla and butterscotch. A nice rendition of a
California Chardonnay. Not overly oaky, with just a bit of spicy
acidity, it's rather understated, save possibly the finish, where
flavors intensify. About $15.
