2000 IMAGERY Artist Collection White Burgundy, California
The 2000 White Burgundy, comprised of 45% Chardonnay, 36% Pinot Blanc and 19% Petite Meunier, starts with a beautiful bouquet of tropical fruit, ripe pineapple and guava--very rich. In the mouth it's soft, without much concentration at mid-palate, but shows loads of honeyed white fruit, with vanillin-oak notes that ride onto a persistent finish. Very little acidity and slightly sweet, it is compelling. Perhaps a poor choice in calling it White Burgundy.
