Interesting
smoky, charred aromas nearly mask any traces of the latent fruit scents.
Lots of charred wood notes show up on the palate, competing with the
secondary fruit flavors. Smokiness in a Pinot is usually desirable, but
here it tends to be overpowering, making you wish for just a bit more ripe
fruit to break through. About $15.
