1998 GEYSER PEAK Shiraz,
Sonoma County
Dominant
earthy aromas mask faint traces of spicy dark berries. Black cherry and
berry flavors are revealed on the palate without a lot of length or
complexity. The tannins are moderate and unobtrusive but the fruit turns
tart on what finish it has. It's a simple and disappointing offering from
a usually reliable value producer.
