2000 GEYSER PEAK Sauvignon
Blanc, Sonoma County
Modest little bouquet of
sweet peach is joined by pear and apple on the palate, presented in a
softer style Sauvignon Blanc. While citrus acidity is present, it
certainly plays a minor role in this performance. In a vintage of
monster New Zealand equivalents, it makes you think about coming up
with a couple of extra bucks and going down under. But, for the price,
it's not bad. Or, look for the superior 1999 G.P. vintage.
