Gallo Sonoma Winery

 

1995 GALLO SONOMA Chardonnay, Russian River Valley Laguna Ranch Vineyard Pale platinum California white has complex, restrained aromas starting with fruit and turning to toasty oak and creamy vanilla with floral and nutty overtones. It is beautifully balanced-supple, buttery but with cleansing acidity. Its flavors begin with creamy vanilla, toasted oak, and nuts, followed by a flash of crisp citrus, and then merge back into a toasty vanilla and honey finish that goes on and on.         Around $18         05/29/98
