1997 CLOS DU BOIS Chardonnay, Sonoma County
Simple,
light bodied Chard has aromas and flavors of creamy vanilla and spice
with suggestions of honey. Tart citrus tones underlie the vanilla
and honey, bringing nice balance to the flavor but slightly bitter oak
finishes on the palate, which is the undoing of so many simple
Chardonnays. Around $12
