Chateau Souverain

 

1995 CH. SOUVERAIN Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley Complex and medium to full bodied, this is a joy of a wine!  Try dark fruit, lead pencil, oaky vanilla and earth aromas for openers, very encouraging, indeed.  Next, dark berry, creamy vanilla and chocolate flavors excite the palate, with nuances of beefy, smoky meats. Then, everything merges into a delicious creamy vanilla and chocolate finish. While the tannins are a little firm, deal with them. It's worth it! Or, lay the bottle down and wait.  We can't!  About $15         12/11/98
