1997 BENZIGER Zinfandel,
Sonoma County
Modest
aromas of candied cherries lead to nice fruit flavors that are reasonably
ripe and that pick up a little vanilla and butterscotch on a nice little
finish. Things are conveyed in a light body, with light tannins, resulting
in a drinkable little Zin. But its a stretch for a recommendation at
this price point.
