2000 ADLER FELS
Gewrztraminer, Russian River

Litchi
fruit aromas dominate the nose, which also carries suggestions of white
fruit and citrus. Of course you cant miss the floral notes of rose buds
as well. Very slightly off dry on the palate, citrus and spice move into
the spotlight, but enough of every element of the bouquet gets a play to
make for an exquisite, well crafted Gewrztraminer.
About $11. 10/25/01

1996 ADLER FELS Gewrztraminer, Sonoma County

Aromas
and flavors of roses and litchi fruit abound. Light to medium body
with a slight off-dry floral fruitiness. A classically styled Gewrztraminer.

1995 ADLER FELS Fum Blanc, Sonoma County

Champagne
golden colored Sauvignon Blanc has herbal/vegetal nose with vegetal
flavors and a light, somewhat round body. The surprise is the finish of
butter and melon that seems to come from nowhere...but is very nice!

2000 ADLER FELS Fum Blanc,
Russian River

Offering
up classic Sauvignon Blanc aromas and flavors, grapefruit citrus rules.
Of course, there are grassy, herbal notes attendant as well, with a
slight suggestion of softness on the finish.
Here is another well-made wine from Adler Fels.
About $13.

1997 ADLER FELS Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma, "Adulteress"

Carries
a big grapefruit citrus bouquet, with melon and citrus flavors that turn
surprisingly soft and smooth. But grapefruit prevails in the end,
in a long zingy, spritzy finish, with some honeyed vanilla flashing by.
Quite a ride and fascinating as the name!
