Chardonnay, Calaveras County
Interesting
appellation, no doubt. But, here we have a modest, little California
Chardonnay with an understated bouquet that leads to rather surprising
pronounced flavors of soft vanilla and spice on a long finish. Tropical
fruit is the feature at mid palate, with a bit of oak being kept
properly in check.
