SANFORD 1999 Sauvignon
Blanc Central Coast
Normally a consistent, reliable Sauvignon
Blanc, this one is certainly a different take. As expected, peach and
nectarine aromas come at you, carrying herbal, grassy notes. But there
is an added element of bell pepper not found in prior vintages. Citrus
flavors are strong on the palate but that pesky bell pepper is not far
behind. This is sort of an off beat rendition of the Sanford Sauvi and
just doesn't seem to work. About $12. 02/22/01
