Qupe Wine Cellars

1998 QUPE Syrah , Santa Barbara County  Reserve Bien Nacido Vineyard A respected California producer/pioneer of Rhone varietals gives us a delicious, medium bodied red made from 100% Syrah.  It's loaded with ripe dark berry fruit and shows a tantalizing flash of chocolate at mid palate.  With a modest earthy, fruit nose, it reveals a medium body, with soft tannins, and a lengthy finish of ripe fruit encased in creamy vanilla and oak.  About $22.             06/06/00                 Tom
