1998 PRESIDIO Merlot,
Santa Barbara
Moderate,
but very earthy, aromas of dark cherries and raisins are present in the
bouquet. Earthy, smoky fruit flavors are laced with loads of
butterscotch and caramel, and carry an herbal edge as well. The fruit is
tart, the body is light but the finish is long and satisfying. Plenty of
things going on for the money. About $13.
