Foley Estate Vineyards

1996 FOLEY Chardonnay, Santa Barbara County Here you have a different take on Chardonnay. It has all the characteristics of a rich, heavy Chard but in a light, acidic body. The nose is moderate, with toast nd tropical fruit and a floral nuance of honeysuckle. It shows plenty of citrus acidity and spice on the palate which keeps its expressive sweet oak in check. The finish is nice, with the emphasis on creamy vanilla and butterscotch. By no means boring, it provides plenty of interest. From the winemaking team of Robert Foley III and Alan Phillips.
