Foley Estate Vineyards

1997 FOLEY Cabernet Sauvignon Santa Ynez Valley  La Cuesta Vineyard Owner Robert Foley III and winemaker Alan Phillips are proficient and prolific creators of great wine, as evidenced by this beautiful Cab. It begins with a generous nose of black raspberries and cranberries enveloped in sweet oak. Flavors of blueberries and sweet violets caress the palate, delivered in a ripe, full bodied style, with silky soft tannins leading onto a delightfully lingering finish. Truly what a great Napa valley Cab aspires to be. But this one is from the Santa Ynez Valley. About $20.      02/24/01
