1998 CAMBRIA Pinot Noir, Julia's Vineyard
Cambria
has been turning out a number of fine Chardonnays and Pinots vintage
after vintage. Here is another one. The bouquet is moderate and has
elements of
cherry and berry fruit with touches of toasty vanilla and smoke. Flavors
emerge in a light body, with unobtrusive tannin and a soft mouth feel. Ripe
strawberry and light cherry notes are embellished by the latent smoke and vanilla
first encountered on the nose. All in all, a pleasant interpretation of
the Pinot Noir grape.
