Vampire Wines

1996 VAMPIRE Merlot  This product of Romania with the scary name pours clear brownish, burgundy colors with noticeable tearing on the sides of the glass.  One is greeting by fairly pronounced aromas of creamy vanilla, raisins, anise, and dark berries.   Flavors are the same, although somewhat restrained.  Anise finish, slightly nutty and slightly tannic.  But, for way under $10, might not want to pass it up!  Especially, at Halloween!
