1999 SMITH-MADRONE Riesling,
Napa Valley
Modest,
but interesting, floral gardenia and jasmine nose, yielding to lemon
lime citrus. A core of bracing citrus acidity reveals slightly off dry
flavors of ripe pear and apple. The sweetness subsides on the finish,
while the jazzy, spritzy flavors regain control. A very nice ride.
