Not only is Rubissow-Sargent a collaboration of two families, its also a working partnership between two locations. Rubissow Vineyards, on Mount Veeder in southwestern Napa Valley is where the grapes are grown. Tasting Notes Ratings Explained

1999 RUBISSOW-SARGENT Trompettes, Mt. Veeder 65% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot Aromas of Plum & Cherry with earthy accents. Black Cherry, flavors dominate with notes of Chocolate and Spice. The tannins are smooth and the finish is long & lingering. About $40                                 03/27/04                          Steve

2000 RUBISSOW-SARGENT Merlot, Mt. Veeder Fruit forward with flavors of Black Cherry and Raspberry with just a hint of spice to liven it up. Smooth and tasty with another long finish About $26                                 03/27/04                          Steve

1999 RUBISSOW-SARGENT Cabernet Sauvignon, Mt. Veeder Ripe fruit flavors of cherry & blackberry, this fruit forward Cab has well integrated tannins and finishes nicely on the palate. About $30                                 03/27/04                          Steve
