1998 NEYERS Chardonnay,
Carneros El Novillero Vineyard
Very
forward aromas of honey, butter, ripe melon and tropical fruit
comprise the bouquet of this single vineyard offering.. The
buttery fruit is joined on the
palate by a backbone of lemon lime citrus,
bringing a dash of good cleansing balance. There's lots of
oak, too, but is kept in check
by the citrus acidity. While not as rich as some
other Neyers Chards, the butter pounds through on an unbelievable
finish.
