1999 NEWTON Chardonnay Unfiltered,
Napa Valley
Lots
of honeyed tropical fruit and smoky oak are offered up on the nose, with
some residual spiciness. Vanilla stretches out onto the finish, while rich
fruit flavors entertain at mid palate. Theres plenty of spicy, zingy
citrus notes to keep things refreshing. Not a lot of weight on the palate,
rather its a bit understated and reserved. An elegant Chard with a
price to match.
