1999 NEWTON Cabernet Sauvignon,
Napa Valley Unfiltered
Waxy,
earthy red ripe fruit aromas permeate the nose. Flavors of currants and
dark berries are delivered in a full body, while the tannins are firm, but
forgiving. As the wine breathes, the fruit gets plumper and richer, and it
begins to develop a luxuriant silky texture. With all the tannin and
fruit, this begs for service with a char grilled steak.
