1998 LUNA Merlot,
Napa Valley
Attractive
aromatics offer up rich dark fruit aromas, with a touch of violets and a
nuance of cedar and lead pencil. Its full bodied and presents ripe
fruit flavors, with a major dose of smoky oak and cedar. Tannins are soft
enough and its not real long, but yet it comes off as an elegant, well
crafted wine. Another effort from master wine maker John Kongsgaard.
