With
dark saturated colors and a magnificent bouquet, this Rhone varietal
offers up multiple aromas of dark ripe berries, baker's chocolate,
coffee, sandalwood and mint. It is full bodied with the fruit
turning a bit tart and the tannins a bit chewy on the finish. While
the tannins tend to outweigh the fruit, it's a big mouthful of a wine
dominated by flavors of black coffee. About $35.
