1998 NEWLAN Cabernet
Sauvignon, Napa Valley
The
main element of the bouquet is coffee-roasted coffee beans,
funky/earthy, modest at best. Things improve on the palate with flavors
of ripe berries with chocolate and coffee nuances. With soft tannins,
vanilla emerges on the adequate finish. Not a classic Napa Cab, but
there's enough going on to keep things interesting. About $17.
