1998 GUSTAVO THRACE
Chardonnay, Carneros
Hues
of brownish brass carry aromas of burnt butter and oaky vanilla. Spice
and citrus join in on the palate, but, in the end, burnt butter prevails
on the lasting finish. There's plenty of richness offered up here, but
it's the citrus notes that provide a beautiful, delicate balance. A very
elegant nicely crafted Chard. About $35.
