Girard Winery

1996 GIRARD Old Vine Chenin Blanc, Napa Valley Pale gold in color, light bodied but somewhat soft, has many complex flavors and aromas. Its nose carries suggestions of tobacco, rich fruit, and tomato. It has flavors of honey, butter and nuts with a nice finish balanced by some tomato acidity. It's not big, but beautiful, demure, but complex. And, inexpensive!  About $6                      8/12/98                        Tom Buy Girard Wines On-Line
