1996 DOMAINE NAPA Chardonnay,
Napa Valley
Big
and bold, in the classic California Chardonnay style, it carries a
multitude of complex aromas and flavors. Spicy cinnamon, tropical fruit,
pineapple, butter and oak abound. It is soft and medium bodied,
with lovely vanilla flavors flashing by, and sweet orange citrus coming
in on the finish, along with a tease of honey. Very oaky but no sign of
any residual bitterness found in most California Chards in this price
range. For around $10, you could do worse...much worse.
