Castle Rock Winery

1998 CASTLE ROCK Syrah, Rhone Series California Cuvee  Striking bouquet of smoke, cranberries, raisins and candied cherries, along with a seductive herbal note.  All flows nicely onto the palate with a long, smoky finish.  Light bodied and soft, it does not possess great depth of flavor, but its complexity does well to express its distinct Rhone personality.   Around $10.          02/28/00
