1999 ARTESA Chardonnay, Napa Valley Things begin with a nice bouquet of honeyed tropical fruit and toasty oak. With enough citrus for proper balance, the palate is treated to rich flavors of honeyed fruit and vanilla. Everything comes together to create a very rich impression, with creamy oak and vanilla prevailing onto a long, lasting finish. 1999 ARTESA Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley Reserve Clean flavors of pear and green apple are accompanied by spicy citrus notes, while a bit of sweet smoky oak finishes things off. Carried in a body that is soft and supple, with a bouquet that is modest, everything is restrained but expressive.
