1998 McINTYRE Merlot,
Central Coast
Sweet
dark ripe cherry, berry fruit is the main feature here, which
carries a nice herbal edge. It finishes adequately, although it
turns a tad bitter, but the
fruit remains ripe. While it is light to medium
bodied, it's the concentration of flavor that keeps this one
interesting. Another example of grape grower (sources Mondavi and
Phelps, among others) turned wine maker.
