1998 HUSCH Sauvignon Blanc, Mendocino
Delicate and understated,
sedate flavors of tart apple and grapefruit citrus provide a dash of
spritzy acidity. The bouquet carries notes of smoke and butter, tell
tale signs of some wood fermentation or aging, which explains its
slightly softened style. Not of the "in your face" Kiwi ilk,
but deserves some attention.
