Fetzer Vineyards 1999 FETZER Cabernet Sauvignon,
Central Coast,
Five Rivers Ranch
Aromas
of ripe black fruit and sweet oak, with suggestions of brown sugar and
coffee, make for an impressive opening for this central coast red. Not
quite as exciting on the palate, the fruit comes off moderately ripe in a
light body with moderate tannins. But then things wind up nicely with some
tasty vanilla shadings on a very decent finish.
A nice little Cab at its
price point.
