Smoky, earthy bouquet progresses to slightly candied and fermented dark ripe fruit. On the palate, the fruit is ripe and the tannins firm up on the ample finish. It is medium bodied, with loads of glycerin, and flavors of ripe plums gain a rustic, earthy edge as they linger on. Very tasty wine.        About $18.           08/22/00
