PARSON'S FLAT 2001 A.D. Shiraz (65%) Cabernet (35%) Padthaway

Lusty aromas of cassis liqueur, black cherry syrup, with notes of smoke, butter, mocha, and a trace of mint, are all very impressive, indeed. The bouquet also contains suggestions of sweet grass, cinnamon, cloves and earth. Potent ripe fruit flavors rule the palate at first, but coffee dominates on the very lengthy finish. This full bodied wine packs plenty of power, but exhibits grace and elegance at the same time. Yet another blockbuster from the
soon-to-be-famous wine making team of Sparky & Sarah Marquis.
About $34.
