1999 TE KAIRANGA Sauvignon
Blanc, Martinborough
 
From
the producer of the stunning Marlborough Sauvi. Grassy, herbal
pronounced bouquet, almost clover like. Ripe pear and apple flavors,
with nutty overtones, come across as very soft on the palate. The finish
is lingering, but begs for some jazzy citrus notes. Why? 60% barrel
fermented; five months in French oak. A bit too much wood.
