1996 TERUZZI & PUTHOD Terre di Tuffi  A white wine offering from Tuscany has intriguing greenish brass colors and modest, but interesting, apple and spice aromas.  Flavors are more pronounced, with minerally crisp green apple notes and grapefruit citrus, very crisp on the palate.  The green apple lingers on the finish, picking up notes of almond blossom and nutmeg.  Made from the Tuscan Vernaccia grape, with a dash of Chardonnay and Malvasia Bianca, it literally bespeaks of "terroir."  Very sophisticated!   About $17                                    12/09/99               Tom
