Montepulciano
The
bouquet is faint but the palate is treated to attractive fruit flavors,
not too ripe, not too tart, but with some kind of spicy acidity that is
oh, so Italiano. After all, this is Sangiovese in disguise as
Montepulciano, and is quickly unmasked once it hits the palate. Pour this
for friends, show them the label and challenge them to name the grape. Youll
no doubt pick up some extra pocket change.
