Chenin
Blanc at its best, from the Loire Valley, it starts with a faint honeyed
fruit nose with a mineral edge. Slightly off dry ripe melon and pear
flavors show up on the palate, while jazzy acidity tempers the sweetness
in the form of tart grapefruit, which dominates on the adequate finish.
Not enough sweetness for a proper dessert wine, but perfect with fruit
and cheese after dinner.
