CHATEAU SAINTE-JEANNE

1999 CHATEAU SAINTE-JEANNE
Corbiers Red Wine

From the Languedoc-Roussillon comes this blend of Granache, Mouvedre, Syrah and Carignan with its own appellation. Earthy scents of dried cherries and plums mark the nose, with a dash of herbal mint. The fruit exhibits modest amounts of ripeness on the palate, with an earthy rusticity. With a medium body, reasonable tannins and plenty of acidity, this bistro style red should work well with simple red meat dishes.
